  • Excise Duty levied on certain jewellery from March 1, 2016
  • Excise Duty levied on Ready Made Garments - branded and carry MRP exceeding Rs 999.  Effective from March 1, 2016
  • Service Tax Rate increased to 14.5% (0.5% - Swaach Bharat Cess) from November 15, 2015.  No credit of 0.5% cess
  • Due date for updating the input tax credit module in KVAT extended to December 31, 2015
  • Rate of Service Tax increased from 12.36% to 14% wef June 1, 2015
